3 days ago, for the first time in 22 years, I googled the name of the guy who STOLE my virginity and along with that, my ability to sing from 18 years old. Many of you know parts of my story, but so much of this chapter is completely blocked out, except his face and his smell. This is the guy on the left with the hat on. He went by Big Wes. According to this article, he was a great guy, a “Living Legend” to be exact. Well, no, he wasn’t a great guy. He broke a part of me. He stole something that was precious to me.
Many of you have asked “who”, so here’s the guy. He died April 25, 2020. I started singing again a little bit last year. Weird timing. Well, it’s time for me to heal this part of me and move forward. So this is what I’m gonna do. Thankful for all of you who have been praying with me over the years. I’m sorry nobody can put their hands on him now. Let go and let God. I’m still very much alive and well. It’s gonna be OK. 🙏
